Nature of MeCredit
MeCredit is a prepaid balance that may be used solely to procure professional tax-related services made available through the TaxMe Platform, which services are provided by independent external tax professionals (each a “Tax Professional”). For the avoidance of doubt:
MeCredit is not a financial instrument, security, deposit, or electronic money, and does not constitute a payment instrument regulated under the Financial Services Act 2013;
MeCredit has no cash value in the hands of the User and cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or converted into cash, save for the limited monetary refund of Purchased Credit expressly provided for under this Policy;
MeCredit may only be used to procure services from Tax Professionals through the Platform, and may not be transferred, assigned, resold, or gifted to any other person or account;
The provision of a limited monetary refund under this Policy is a contractual remedy only and does not render MeCredit a cash-convertible or redeemable instrument.
TaxMe acts solely as a technology platform facilitating the procurement of services. The professional services themselves are rendered by the Tax Professional, and Tax Professionals are remunerated by TaxMe through a monthly payout at a pre-agreed rate.

Order of Consumption of MeCredit
Where a User holds more than one type of MeCredit, MeCredit shall be applied to procure a Service in the following order, so as to use expiring and promotional credit first for the User’s benefit:
Platform Engagement Credit (nearest expiry first);
Bonus Credit;
Purchased Credit.
This order ensures that expiring and promotional credit is applied before Purchased Credit, so that the User obtains maximum value from promotional credit and the refundable Purchased Credit is drawn down last.

Refund of Unused Purchased Credit
6.1 General Rule
Unused Purchased Credit (that is, Purchased Credit that has not been applied to procure a Service) is refundable only where the refund arises from a Platform-Caused Event. Examples include a duplicate or erroneous charge, a technical failure that prevents the credit from being used, or an incorrect deduction of credit.
Save as expressly provided in this Policy, MeCredit purchases are otherwise final, and TaxMe does not provide refunds for change of mind.
6.2 Cooling-Off Window for Untouched Purchases
As a goodwill measure, a User may request a refund of a specific MeCredit purchase where the entire purchase remains wholly unused and the request is made within seven (7) calendar days of the purchase date. A purchase is not “wholly unused” if any portion of it, or any Bonus Credit attaching to it, has been applied to a Service.
6.3 Refund Calculation and Treatment of Associated Credit
Where a refund of Purchased Credit is granted, the refund shall be calculated and paid as follows:
The Purchased Credit shall be refunded at the rate at which it was originally purchased (the “purchase rate”);
Any Bonus Credit that was granted in association with the refunded Purchased Credit shall be forfeited upon the refund being processed;
Any Platform Engagement Credit, and any Bonus Credit that is not associated with the refunded Purchased Credit, shall not be impacted by the refund and shall remain in the User’s account subject to its own terms and validity period.

Non-Refundable Credit
The following are non-refundable under all circumstances and hold no cash value:
Bonus Credit — being promotional credit granted at no charge;
Platform Engagement Credit — being promotional credit granted at no charge and subject to a 30-day validity period, after which any unused balance lapses automatically.
The expiry of Platform Engagement Credit does not affect any Purchased Credit or Bonus Credit, which do not expire.

Refunds Relating to Consumed Credit (Service Dissatisfaction)
Once MeCredit has been applied to procure a Service, the credit is treated as Consumed Credit. Where a User is dissatisfied with a Service, or considers that a Service was not delivered or was of unacceptable quality, the matter shall be handled on a case-by-case basis through the Platform’s dispute resolution process (see Section 13).
Where a dispute is resolved in the User’s favour, the remedy shall be a re-credit of the corresponding value to the User’s TaxMe account as MeCredit. Refunds arising from Service dissatisfaction are not paid in cash and are not made by way of monetary transfer.
Re-credited MeCredit retains the character and expiry treatment of the original Consumed Credit from which it derives, as follows:
The portion derived from Purchased Credit is re-credited as Purchased Credit and does not expire;
The portion derived from Bonus Credit is re-credited as Bonus Credit and does not expire;
The portion derived from Platform Engagement Credit is re-credited retaining its original countdown to expiration. Where, as at the date the re-credit is processed, that original countdown has already lapsed, the re-credited Platform Engagement Credit shall be granted a minimum validity of three (3) calendar days from the re-credit date
